Zminijietna supports candidates for a Social and Ecological Europe

Zminijietna – Voice of the Left appealed to the public to support candidates who are in favour of a social and ecological Europe, rather than a neo-liberal Europe.

Zminijietna – Voice of the Left referred to directives which are currently being debated such as those on increased maternity leave, cross border health services,  the services directive and various environmental directives.

‘The public should support candidates who clearly speak in favour of better working conditions and stronger social policy. A clear case in this regard is maternity leave. Increased maternity leave will result in better working conditions, more access for women in the labour market, and clear family-friendly social policy. Zminijietna believes that both men and women should participate in the labour market and in family caring roles’.

‘Another example is the directive on cross border health services, which, as currently proposed, can result in social inequalities in the health sector. Similarly, the Services Directive which shall be once again discussed under the forthcoming Swedish Presidency is currently being opposed by unions, leftist and green parties and movements, as it can result in less rights for workers’.

Zminijietna – Voice of the Left also appealed to Maltese voters to support those candidates who truly supported ecological measures for a better environment.

Zminijietna tappoggja kandidati favur Ewropa Socjali u Ekologika

Zminijietna – Lehen ix-Xellug appellat lill-pubbliku sabiex fl-elezzjonijiet ghall-Parlament Ewropew jappoggja kandidati li huma favur Ewropa Socjali u Ekologika u mhux Ewropa Neoliberali.

Zminijietna – Lehen ix-Xellug irreferiet ghal diversi direttivi li qed jigu diskussi fil-prezent fl-Unjoni Ewropeja, fosthom dawk dwar zieda fil-maternity leave, servizzi ta’ sahha, servizzi, kif ukoll direttivi ambjentali.

'Il-pubbliku ghandu jappoggja kandidati li minghajr tlaqliq jiktellmu favur titjib fil-kundizzjonijiet tax-xoghol u favur politika socjali iktar b'sahhitha. Kaz car ta' dan huwa z-zieda fil-maternity leave. Zieda f'dan id-dritt igib mieghu titjib fil-kundizzjonijiet tax-xoghol, access ghan-nisa fis-suq tax-xoghol u politika konkreta favur il-familja. Zminijietna temmen li kemm l-irgiel u n-nisa ghandhom jippartecipaw fid-dinja tax-xoghol u fil-harsien tal-familja'.

'Ezempju iehor fil-qasam socjali hu dak tal-Cross border health services, li, kif proposta bhalissa, tista' twassal ghall-inugwaljanzi socjali fil-qasam tas-sahha. Hemm ukoll is-‘Services Directive’ li ser terga titressaq ghad-diskussjoni mill-Presidenza li jmiss li hi dik Svediza. Kif proposta, din id-direttiva ghandha oppozizzjoni kbira mill-Unjins, Movimenti u Partiti Xellugin u Hodor, minhabba li din tista' twassal ghall-izmantellar ta' drittijiet tal-haddiema'.

Zminijietna – Lehen ix-Xellug appellat ukoll biex il-votanti Maltin jappoggjaw lil dawk il-kandidati li verament jappoggjaw mizuri ekologici li jgibu maghhom titjib ambjentali.
